Media Consent

Effective date: 5 September 2026

PLATE n PALLET celebrates the people, products and stories that bring hospitality to life. From time to time, we may photograph, film, record or interview members of our community, event guests, hospitality operators, suppliers, collaborators and other participants.

By agreeing to participate in PLATE n PALLET content, you acknowledge and agree to the following.

1. Content we may capture

Content may include photographs, video, audio recordings, interviews, quotes, testimonials, event footage and other material created as part of a PLATE n PALLET collaboration, activation, event or community activity.

2. Permission to use your content

You give PLATE n PALLET permission to use content in which you appear or contribute for purposes connected with PLATE n PALLET, including:

  • our website and digital platform;

  • Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other social channels;

  • newsletters and email communications;

  • editorial stories and interviews;

  • event and community promotion;

  • presentations, proposals and partnership material;

  • public relations and media;

  • promotional and marketing campaigns, including paid promotion where appropriate.

3. Editing and presentation

PLATE n PALLET may edit, crop, resize, caption, subtitle or otherwise adapt content for different formats and platforms.

We will not knowingly edit or present content in a way that materially misrepresents what you said, what occurred, or your relationship with PLATE n PALLET.

4. Your name, role and business

Where appropriate, we may identify you by your name, position, business, venue or brand.

If a venue, employer, brand or other organisation is being identified, the person participating must have appropriate authority or permission to allow that organisation to be named or represented.

5. No automatic endorsement

Appearing in PLATE n PALLET content does not automatically mean that you, your employer or your organisation endorses PLATE n PALLET, unless an endorsement or partnership has been separately agreed.

Similarly, PLATE n PALLET will not represent an ordinary content collaboration as a commercial partnership unless one exists.

6. Payment and commercial arrangements

Participation in editorial or community content does not create an entitlement to payment unless compensation has been agreed separately in writing.

If a collaboration develops into a commercial campaign, paid partnership, referral arrangement or other commercial activity, the relevant commercial terms should be agreed separately.

7. Content you provide to us

If you provide photographs, video, logos, written material or other content to PLATE n PALLET, you confirm that:

  • you are entitled to provide that material;

  • its use by PLATE n PALLET will not knowingly infringe another person's rights; and

  • you have obtained any permissions reasonably required for people, businesses or intellectual property appearing in that material.

You retain ownership of material you own. You grant PLATE n PALLET permission to use it for the agreed collaboration and related PLATE n PALLET communications.

8. Events and activations

Photography and filming may occur at PLATE n PALLET events and community activations.

Where practicable, attendees will be informed that photography or filming is taking place.

If you do not wish to be deliberately photographed, filmed or interviewed, please tell the PLATE n PALLET team at the event.

9. Withdrawing consent

You may contact PLATE n PALLET if you no longer want us to use identifiable content featuring you.

We will make reasonable efforts to stop using that content in future communications where practicable.

However, withdrawal may not be able to remove:

  • material already printed or distributed;

  • previously published editorial or historical content;

  • content already incorporated into completed productions;

  • third-party reposts, shares, screenshots or publications outside PLATE n PALLET's reasonable control.

Where possible, we will work with you in good faith to address genuine concerns.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected through interviews, events, collaborations and media activities will be handled in accordance with the PLATE n PALLET Privacy Policy.

We will not intentionally publish private contact information or other information that was clearly provided to us in confidence unless permission has been given.

11. Children and young people

PLATE n PALLET will seek appropriate parent or guardian consent before deliberately creating identifiable featured content involving a minor where consent is required or appropriate.

12. Respectful use

Our intention is to tell hospitality stories respectfully and accurately.

We will not knowingly use your image, words or contribution in a defamatory, deceptive or materially misleading manner.
