2. When this notice applies
This Collection Notice applies when you:

join the Plate n Pallet waitlist;

create a Plate n Pallet account;

submit an operator or supplier application;
-
create or manage an organisation profile;
-
use Plate n Pallet's platform, matching, introduction or relationship workflows;

communicate with Plate n Pallet; or
-
interact with the Plate n Pallet website.
3. How we collect information
We may collect personal information:

directly from you through Plate n Pallet forms, accounts, applications and communications;

through the Plate n Pallet website and current Wix services;
-
through the Plate n Pallet waitlist hosted by Tally;

automatically through cookies, device information, browser information and security logs;

from an authorised representative of your organisation; or
-
from public business registers and other public business sources where reasonably necessary to verify an organisation or a person's authority.
4. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Plate n Pallet, we may collect:

your name, email address, telephone number and work contact details;

your organisation name, website, location and business-registration details;
-
your role, job title, responsibilities and authority to act for an organisation;

operator or supplier profile information;
-
product categories, supplier capabilities, hospitality needs and operational requirements;

preferences, interests and matching requirements;
-
application declarations, consent choices and contact-sharing preferences;
-
waitlist responses and launch interests;
-
messages, enquiries, support requests and other communications;
-
platform activity, matching, introduction and relationship records; and
-
technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, login-security information and cookie preferences.
Please do not provide an Australian director identification number. Plate n Pallet does not request or collect director IDs.
Please do not provide unnecessary sensitive information or identity documents unless Plate n Pallet specifically requests them through an approved secure process.
5. Why we collect information
We collect, hold and use personal information to:

manage the Plate n Pallet waitlist and provide relevant launch information;

create, manage and protect accounts;

review operator and supplier applications;
-
verify business information or organisational authority;
-
establish operator and supplier profiles;
-
understand hospitality needs, supplier capabilities and commercial preferences;

support supplier discovery, matching, introductions and approved relationship workflows;

apply your contact-sharing preferences;
-
communicate important service and administrative information;
-
respond to enquiries, complaints and support requests;
-
operate, secure, maintain and improve the platform;
-
prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate accounts and unauthorised access; and
-
meet applicable legal, regulatory, accounting and dispute-management obligations.
Optional Plate n Pallet news, invitations and partnership communications are managed separately from essential account, application, waitlist and service communications.
6. Required and optional information
We identify information as required where it is reasonably necessary to:

create or secure an account;
-
manage the waitlist;
-
assess an application;
-
verify organisational authority;
-
prevent misuse; or
-
provide a requested platform service.
You may choose not to provide optional information.
Where required information is missing, incomplete or cannot be verified, Plate n Pallet may delay the application or requested service, ask for clarification or additional information, be unable to complete verification, or decline the application or requested service.
Plate n Pallet will not decline an application solely because a person chooses not to provide information identified as optional.
7. Who may receive your information
We may disclose relevant personal information to:

Wix, which currently provides Plate n Pallet's website, hosting and any Wix member or website functionality presently enabled;

Tally, which currently hosts Plate n Pallet's waitlist form;

Usercentrics, where used to manage website cookie and consent preferences;
-
Google, where used to support business email, administration, security, analytics or reCAPTCHA;
-
authorised Plate n Pallet personnel and contractors who require access to perform their work;
-
professional advisers such as legal, accounting, insurance and information-security advisers;
-
operators, suppliers or authorised organisation representatives where disclosure forms part of an approved Plate n Pallet workflow and is permitted by your choices or contact-sharing preference; and
-
regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Plate n Pallet does not sell personal information.
8. Overseas processing and disclosure
Some Plate n Pallet technology providers and their approved subprocessors operate outside Australia.
Personal information may therefore be processed, stored, accessed or disclosed overseas, including in Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, European Union or European Economic Area countries, and other countries where approved service providers or their subprocessors operate.
For example, Wix states that user data is initially processed by Wix.com Ltd. in Israel and may be transferred to Wix entities and subprocessors in other countries.
Where required by applicable privacy law, Plate n Pallet will take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures.
Plate n Pallet will update this notice where there is a material change to its providers or likely overseas disclosures.
9. How we protect information
Plate n Pallet takes reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Plate n Pallet uses safeguards appropriate to its current systems, including restricted administrative access, provider-managed authentication where enabled, appropriate access controls, data-minimisation rules, security testing and safeguards provided by approved hosting and technology services.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Plate n Pallet reviews and strengthens its safeguards as the platform develops.
10. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

provide the requested service;
-
manage a waitlist, application, account or business relationship;
-
maintain security, consent and audit records;
-
respond to complaints or disputes; or
-
meet legal and regulatory obligations.
Waitlist information may be retained while the waitlist and associated launch activities remain active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, Plate n Pallet will take reasonable steps to delete it, de-identify it or securely restrict access, subject to lawful recordkeeping requirements.
11. Access, correction and privacy complaints
You may contact Plate n Pallet to:

request access to personal information held about you;
-
ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

update or withdraw an optional preference;
-
request removal from the waitlist;
-
ask how your information is handled; or
-
make a privacy complaint.

We aim to acknowledge privacy complaints within a reasonable time, generally within 10 business days, and respond within 30 days where practicable.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where it has jurisdiction. The OAIC generally expects you to raise the matter with Plate n Pallet first.

12. Updates to this notice
We may update this Collection Notice when Plate n Pallet's services, technology providers, legal obligations or information-handling practices change.
The current version and effective date will be displayed at the top of the notice.
